Summary 

Under limited direction of the PC&L Manager &/or Plant Manager, manages customer requirement and prepares production schedules to support plant production processes and customer service.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews the EDI system which communicates needs and other data with customers and coordinates/reconciles shipments to meet customer requirements
  • Prepares weekly/daily Plant Production schedule to meet customer requirements and Inventory goals & objectives
  • Prepares & reconciles production orders and issues to manufacturing personnel
  • Prepares production attainment performance records
  • Tracks OEM returnable containers
  • Ensures Material Planning compliance with all related TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and requirements.
  • Prepares monthly S&OP

 

 

Education / Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required, or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in materials, logistics or management preferred
  • APICS certificate desirable
  • Must have at least two years of experience in materials, shipping, production control, or scheduling in a manufacturing environment

 

 

 

Language Ability

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees

 

Math Ability

  • Basic math skills required

 

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to interpret documents / instructions and draw appropriate conclusions and/or plan

 

Computer Skills

  • MS Word and Excel, SAP, EDI, Internet, E-mail
