Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures plant Control Systems function as required to support production needs.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and drive projects from initiation to completion.
- Take initiative to identify & drive continuous improvement of existing control systems.
- Responsible for creating / modifying electrical drawings to document control system wiring & configuration.
- Responsible for programming, documentation and maintenance of PLC controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley) and Operator Interfaces (primarily Allen-Bradley & C-more).
- Responsible for plant electrical power distribution (12,470VAC / 480VAC / 240VAC).
- Responsible for purchasing parts in support of projects and equipment breakdowns
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- 4-year technical degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 2-5 years electrical and controls engineering background in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with control system design and creating electrical drawings
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC & HMI Hardware & Programming Software
- Experience with Variable Speed Drives (primarily ABB and Allen-Bradley)
- Experience with Servo Drives (primarily Allen-Bradley)
- Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving related to manufacturing control systems
