Tooling Manager (M/F) – Permanent Position
Your Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the site’s tooling operations to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of tools, while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards.
As a hands-on manager, you will divide your time between management duties and providing technical expertise.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Manage a team of 4 employees and develop their skills.
• Organize and schedule maintenance tasks based on production needs.
• Ensure the availability of tools throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in repairs and provide your technical expertise when necessary.
• Oversee tool changes and ensure reliable reporting of maintenance activities.
• Ensure the proper storage, identification, and condition of tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance measures and propose improvements to optimize equipment reliability.
• Participate in industrial projects and the commissioning of new tools.
• Ensure compliance with standards and safety procedures, and oversee the work of external contractors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement (TPM, SMED, cost and performance optimization)
Your Profile
With a technical background (ideally a two-year post-secondary degree) in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, sheet metal work, or welding, you have at least 5 years of experience in tool maintenance, ideally in the automotive industry.
You have some management experience and are recognized for your leadership, organizational skills, and ability to bring a team together.
Ideally, you are proficient in SAP.
