Automotive Project Quality Engineer (M/F) – Permanent Position
As part of a replacement hire, we are seeking a Project Quality Engineer to support our projects through to the handover to series production (SOP) and ensure compliance with quality requirements throughout the development cycle.
You will work in a demanding automotive environment, collaborating with project, production, and quality teams as well as international clients.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Quality department, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Conduct quality audits during the project phase.
- Participate in project reviews by providing a critical assessment of deliverables and processes.
- Oversee the handover from the project phase to series production (SOP), ensuring a smooth transition to the quality and production teams.
- Organize quality activities related to the transition to mass production.
- Develop and monitor project quality dashboards.
- Train operators and quality teams on the requirements of new projects.
- Identify risks, define action plans, and ensure their follow-up.
- Serve as the quality point of contact for project teams until mass production begins.
Your Profile:
- Engineering degree or equivalent training.
- Significant experience in project quality in the automotive industry.
- You are able to hit the ground running and integrate into an ongoing project.
- Proficiency in project-based work and the various development phases through to SOP.
- Good understanding of the project handover to series production.
- Proficiency in the 5 Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), MSA, and SPC.
- Knowledge of the IATF 16949 quality standard.
- Ability to read technical drawings is essential.
- Professional-level English is required: you will participate in and lead project reviews in English.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
