MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:  

Full QEHS Lifecycle
Accountable for managing and leading day to day activities for the Health & Safety and Quality functions

RESPONSIBILITIES

To lead by example, identify and develop operational teams working in the boundaries of IATF16949, ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO 50001, CCAP requirements in conjunction with the business needs and customer expectations, supporting the management of and adherence to these requirements 
Promote the 20 Principles for Good Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Behaviour

To maintain a safe working environment and actively support the continuing development of a safety culture across the site.

Supported by the EHS Officer ensure legal compliance, HSE Training & Induction, Risk Assessments/Safe Systems of Work, Accident/Incident Investigation is carried out 

Provide leadership for supporting, implementing, maintaining and improving requirements of the Energy Management System (EnMS)

Provide leadership and establish controls for the identified significant environmental aspects for his/her function team/department according to procedures and instructions

To manage the containment activity and disposition of products / materials across the plant
To support Project activities as required
To Compile PPAP documentation from Data Provided against Customer Specific requirements (Documentation and Timing)
To monitor and analyse Production Quality performance
To manage Customer Concerns and the Correction of faults through Root Cause Analysis using Cross-functional team activity.
To manage Supplier Concerns log and reporting of related activity to management.
To monitor and report the effectiveness of implemented Correction
Process Improvement projects within milestones and budgets
To support PFMEA and Improvement Teams.
To maintain and update Control Plans in line with FMEA and Corrective action activity
Process capability analysis on key characteristics
Implement system to ensure 1st off, last off and final inspection
Analyse suppliers capability and conduct supplier audits
Trouble shoot on existing in house product related process concerns and agree containment actions.
Systemic analysis activity creation and presentation of trend data for review and improvement action.
Concise and effective communication across the business activity
Maintain Control Plans.
Development of Corrective action plans to resolve Customer and supplier concerns, reporting of actual and status against the Approved Plans.
Co-ordination of sub-contracted containment activities at Customer or supplier locations as required, monitoring and reporting results and cost data to management.
Completion of Allocated tasks within internal Company and Customer Projects.
PPAP statistical verification and documentation validation.Customer and Supplier interface as required on Product and Process requirements.
Promotion of all aspects of Health Safety & Environment.
Support customer driven engineering changes (ECI)
Support Program Management regarding New Production Introduction (NPI)

JOB HOLDERS PROFILE / SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Extensive experience in the Automotive industry
3-5 years minimum experience in a similar role within a blue chip Tier 1 automotive supplier in most recent role
Knowledge of implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques, TPS (or similar), (IATF16949) standards
Evidence of successful change management programmes
Strong people manager and able to demonstrate good awareness of working with people and team development

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

Educated to Degree level or similar  (Automotive Quality Engineer or similar). 
A number of years experience developing the required skills and knowledge in Quality Engineering or similar 
Minimum IATF16949 Internal Audit trained
Minimum IOSH Managing Safety trained
Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, CCC, VDA 6.3/6.5 etc 
Knowledge of SAP advantageous
