Join our central BGEU Supplier Development team and help shape supplier quality performance across Europe.
As a member of the central BGEU (Business Group Europe) Supplier Development team, you will be responsible for supplier development activities covering both direct and indirect suppliers across multiple European plants and supplier locations.
- Drive supplier development activities across BGEU with a strong focus on supplier performance management, including KPI monitoring and reporting, reducing recurring quality issues, supplier PPM, claims and related costs.
- Lead supplier audits (VDA 6.3) and support suppliers in structured problem solving using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why and Ishikawa to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Manage supplier onboarding and approval activities, including Supplier Risk Assessments, supplier qualification, certification reviews and supplier approval processes.
- Train, mentor and support Plant Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) by providing guidance and promoting best practice sharing across BGEU plants.
- Act as the Supplier Development representative during customer, certification, external and internal management system audits.
- Partner with Purchasing on supplier-related initiatives including supplier transfers, sourcing changes, VA/VE initiatives and other cost optimization opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement of supplier development processes, standards, KPIs and tools across the BGEU organization.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development or Automotive Quality Management.
- Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor is strongly preferred. Candidates with extensive automotive supplier quality or auditing experience will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience with automotive PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, problem solving and supplier escalation management.
- Ability to work independently in a regional role supporting multiple plants and suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 17025 is an advantage.
- Fluent English and willingness to travel frequently across Europe (30–40%)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent automotive industry experience will also be considered.
