For the Risk & Insurance Management Department at the Headquarter in Winterthur we are looking for a Head Group Risk & Insurance Management
Your responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for group-wide risk and insurance management (including team leadership and budget responsibility)
- Tendering, negotiating, placing, and implementing global insurance programs with a focus on liability insurance
- Handling claims in collaboration with the legal department, claims experts, brokers, insurers, service providers, and other stakeholders
- Providing technical support to subsidiaries in the area of risk and insurance management
- Planning and conducting risk assessments at production sites in cooperation with external risk engineers
- Ensuring that recommendations from risk assessments are implemented, including semi-annual reporting to Group Management
- Managing the global network of insurance brokers
- Contributing to the preparation of the Enterprise Risk Management / Risk Report for the Board of Directors and Group Management
- Supporting various projects, e.g., M&A, environmental risk management, third-party due diligence, and group fire protection
Your Skills
- Commercial, business, or technical education
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate/group insurance management or in an international insurance company, insurance broker, or a similar function
- Used to work in cross-functional teams with an international scope
- Ability to convey key messages clearly and concisely; confident in interacting with senior management
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Open, team-oriented, and able to work independently
- Fluent English skills, spoken and written; additional languages are not required but welcome
- Experience or qualification in Enterprise Risk Management is an advantage
- Willingness to travel up to 30% (in the first half-year)
